Edmonton, AB – ProCura Real Estate Services Ltd. (“ProCura”) is pleased to announce that construction has commenced on Central Tower at Century Park, located in the south side of Edmonton. The 18-storey tower will feature 176 premium residential rental units.
Central Tower is the first project to commence construction at Century Park since Edmonton City Council approved ProCura’s rezoning proposal for the transit-oriented site in June 2017. The approved Master Plan for the site’s remaining 32-developable-acres allows for 3,995 new residential units, office space, a boutique hotel, a premium retail promenade, and walkable urban streets.
ProCura President & CEO George Schluessel comments that, “the groundbreaking for Central Tower marks the beginning of a new chapter in the development of Century Park into an environmentally-conscious urban neighbourhood. The tower will offer premium rental living with many shops and services within walking distance and excellent transit connectivity to the rest of the city via LRT.”
ProCura Chief Operating Officer Sean McCullough remarks that, “we are proud to partner with Edmonton-based Manasc Isaac Architects as the architect of record for Central Tower. The firm has a track record of design excellence and has recently seen the completion of several notable projects in the Edmonton area.”
Sam Saleh, ProCura Director of Construction, has indicated that ITC Construction Group will provide general contractor services for the project. Central Tower is scheduled to be complete by June 2019.
